Introduction
Windows™ is an efficient operating system. However, the longer your computer stays online, the slower your softwares get. After several hours, your computer gets slower and slower. One of the reasons is the memory management of Windows™.

Parts of the softwares or datas are loaded in the random access memory (RAM) of your computer, and when this memory is released, Windows™ fragments the RAM. Although it tries to free this memory, some part of the memory can stay unavailable or simply, Windows™ does not release memory quickly enough. In two cases, Windows™ relies on a trick to meet the needs of those softwares that ask for more memory: it simulates the memory on a hard disk or on any other component (for example, an USB key). This 'fake' memory is far slower than the real RAM of your computer (sometimes more than 1000 times slower), which in turn slowers your softwares. RamWizard is what you need.

RamWizard, through a recurrent analysis of your computer's RAM, defragments and quickly releases the unavailable RAM for your softwares. Windows™ is quickly given access to the maximum available RAM, thus making your computer more efficient.

RamWizard is not the only software able to solve this problem, but its main assets are the following:
  • an ability to run on poor hardware configurations
  • no useless graphical effect
  • a simple menu and a configuration with a single window
  • a permanent display of the available memory (RamWizard does not have anything to hide)
  • statistics available for consultation anytime
  • the ability to free part of the useless files on your hard disks (old temporary files and emptying of the recycle bin) when RamWizard starts or when it runs
RamWizard frees your computer RAM faster and more efficiently than Windows™ does on its own!

Settings
Your first action will certainly be to enter the serial number which has been given to you when you purchased it. In order to do this, open the menu and select the corresponding menu option.

Next, it is necessary to configure RamWizard. If you have not already do it at first run of RamWizard, open the menu and select the configuration option. The window is simple and options are clear enough - and if you leave your mouse on an option, a message describe you what the option does.

RamWizard, as any utility, uses RAM. Fortunately, RamWizard releases more memory than it uses.
However, the analysis of the memory uses CPU power, which can slow down your computer if this one is not powerful enough.
Most of today computers can use without problem the 'maximum' power analysis (default power analysis). You can probably use the 'maximum' power analysis without noting any degradation in the operation of your computer. However, if you use a too high power analysis and your computer is slowed down some, do not hesitate to use a weaker power analysis.

Options
With the options window of RamWizard you can decide:
  • what to do with old temporary files of your computer
  • what RamWizard must do with the recycle bin when it starts
  • to choose wether RamWizard should start with your computer or not
In the first part, you can configure the localization of the temporary files that RamWizard can destroy, as well as how old must be these files. You can ask RamWizard to carry out this operation each time it starts, and if a message must inform you of the operation or not. RamWizard will not destroy any file whose date of last access, last use or creation is posterior with that of the starting of Windows™.

The immediate delete button of the temporary files is available only when there are files to destroy according to the options which you have chosen.
If you have disabled partially or completely the update of date information of your files, it is possible that RamWizard cannot destroy a file (actually used) although the button was enabled.

In the second part, you can ask RamWizard to empty the recycle bin when it starts, and to display an information message or not and to emit a sound or not when it empties the recycle bin. You can also empty the recycle bin immediately by clicking the adequate button.

The last option enables you to determine if RamWizard must start automatically with your computer or not. When this option is activated, RamWizard adds an information in the “Run” key of the register base. You must have the necessary permissions to authorize RamWizard to do this action.
